Terms of Service
Last updated: June 17, 2026
Agreement
These terms govern your use of merecourses.com and the courses we provide. By using the site or enrolling in a course, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
Who may enrol
You must be at least 18 years old. You must give accurate information when you register, and you must keep it accurate. Course records are reported to state regulators, and a record in the wrong name is worse than no record at all.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for everything done through your account. Accounts are personal and may not be shared, sold or transferred. Completing a state-approved course on someone else’s behalf is a serious matter for both of you and may be a violation of state law.
Course access
Unless a course page says otherwise, you have access to a course for six months from the date you enrol. State-approved courses require the full number of hours the state specifies, and our system records the time you spend. You cannot skip ahead through material a state requires you to complete.
Certificates and state reporting
A certificate is issued when you complete a course and pass any required assessment. Where a state requires it, we report your completion to the relevant state body, usually within five business days.
Reporting is our responsibility. What happens after that is not. We cannot control how quickly a state processes a report, and you remain responsible for meeting your own deadlines. Leaving a course to the final days of a renewal period is a risk you take on.
No guarantee of licensure
Completing a course makes you eligible to take the next step toward a licence. It does not guarantee that you will pass a state exam, that your application will be approved, or that you will be granted or keep a licence. Those decisions belong to the state.
Professional development courses
Courses described as professional development carry no state licence credit in any state. They do not satisfy pre-licensing, post-licensing or continuing education requirements, and nothing in them counts toward a renewal.
Course content
Our courses describe law and regulation that change. We take care to keep material current and to state where rules vary by state, but course content is educational and is not legal advice. You are responsible for verifying current requirements with your own state regulator before relying on them.
Intellectual property
Course materials, text, video, images and assessments are our property or used under licence. You may use them for your own study. You may not copy, record, distribute, publish, resell or create derivative works from them. You may not use automated tools to extract course content.
Acceptable use
You agree not to interfere with the site’s operation, attempt to gain unauthorised access, use the site for anything unlawful, or misrepresent your identity.
Suspension
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms. Where a breach involves academic dishonesty on a state-approved course, we may be required to report it.
Payment
Prices are shown in US dollars and are payable when you enrol. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
Disclaimer
The site and courses are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms, the site or any course is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the course giving rise to the claim, or one hundred US dollars ($100.00).
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost opportunity, or losses arising from a licence being delayed, denied or lost.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Our courses are sold and delivered from Florida, and you are purchasing from a Florida business.
Arbitration
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms, the site or any course will be resolved by binding arbitration administered in Orange County, Florida, rather than in court. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court with jurisdiction.
Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court instead, if the claim qualifies.
No class actions
You and we each agree that any dispute will be brought only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, consolidated or representative proceeding. An arbitrator may not consolidate claims or preside over any form of representative proceeding.
Severability
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
